I hope everyone had a fun Valentine's day. Kyle, Janelle, and I did! We decided to stay home this year and celebrate the day with Janelle. A friend of mine gave me the idea to make homemade heart-shaped pizzas, so that's what we did. Janelle loved it. She is very into cooking lately, so it was the perfect dinner for her.
We gave Janelle some new pajamas and "Dora" bubble bath, which she loved. She also loved all the wonderful sugar that accompanies the day! Kyle surprised me with a beautiful flower arrangement that he proudly told me he ordered on Friday. He also bought me a few cases of my favorite drink (appropriately red for Valentine's day) - Stewart's Strawberry Creme Soda. That's actually a funny story. There is only one store in all of McKinney that sells it, so I went there at about 5:00pm on Valentine's day to get some because I thought it would be cute to have with our dinner. So I get to the store, and not only is it sold out, but there's a sign that says they are discontinuing the item. My favorite drink will be gone forever. Pretty disappointed I bought the generic strawberry soda. A few hours later, Kyle gets home and sets up my Valentine's day present on the fireplace. He makes me close my eyes and leads me to see it. To my dismay there are 7 cases of Stewart's soda sitting next to the flowers. Apparently he had gotten to the store at 4:30pm, saw they were discontinuing it, and bought them out. We just missed one another by a half hour! So we now have a food storage supply of soda pop. During a disaster, we'll be alright with our macaroni and cheese, cans of peaches, and strawberry soda! Anyway, I felt a little outdone getting Kyle pajama pants and his favorite jelly bellies. Oh well, he seemed to like it!
P.S. Remember, the little belly and added weight is PREGNANCY weight. I'm not just getting fat...at least I better not be!
