Big Girl Bed and Pink Eye

Up until a few weeks ago, Janelle was still sleeping in her toddler bed. It's a little sad, seeing as she was basically as long as her bed. We kept putting it off and putting it off, until we finally needed her mattress for the new baby's crib. Now she has graduated into a nice twin sized bed. The few days after we'd set it up, she kept asking Kyle and I if we had to take it back. I guess she really liked it and was afraid she might have to go back to the little bed. We finally assured her that she gets to keep it, and it's been a great new place for playing and jumping when mommy's not looking!

The biggest thing that happened this last week is Janelle got her first diagnosis with pink eye. There's nothing good about pink eye. Poor thing. I don't know if the worst part was having to put eye drops in her eyes 4 times a day for 5 days or the fact that she couldn't play with anyone for about a week. She also has had a little viral infection over the weekend and has been such a grouch. From tantrums to all the whining...it was starting to get really old. Janelle hardly ever gets sick which I am definately grateful for, but boy, when she's sick, does she sure let you know it! To top it off, Kyle also had a cold all weekend. Fortunately I've been able to steer clear of catching anything, but I'm definately happy that things are returning to normal. We can finally go to playgroup tomorrow, no more eye drops, no more drugging Janelle with Dimetapp (which makes her extremely groggy), things are finally getting back to normal!
