Spencer was WIDE awake at 5:00 this morning! Usually after I feed him at 5:00 he goes right back to sleep. Not THIS time! Nope, he was up and ready for some kind of entertainment. So into the vibrator seat he went (AKA: The baby massage chair) and on went the TV while mommy dozed on the couch next to him.
Did you know that "Jimmy Neutron" is on at 5:30am? It was that or "Lizzie Maguire" and Spencer already thinks Hilary Duff is hot, but she is WAY too old for him. Sorry Spencer.
6:03am - Fast asleep!.....Finally....and then exactly 57 minutes later Janelle's little head pops out of her door.
"Hi Mommy!"
Do YOU think mommy will get a nap today?

Those are the things I am not looking forward to! I used to nap all the time when kathryn was napping when she was a newborn... but it won't come so easily with a toddler.
This made me laugh...sorry but it did. It made me think how grateful I am that we are past those mornings!
Oh Laura. I don't miss newborns at all. It wasn't that long ago that Hayden was that little and I was getting no sleep. I was sooo grumpy. I hope he starts sleeping through the night soon. Hang in there.

you're right-this too shall pass. Regan got up at 6am and then sometimes goes back to sleep and sometimes stays up. Fingers crossed that our children both go back to sleep tomorrow!!!
Marcia-no, no nap, as soon as I tried to lay down Spencer woke up. And as soon as Spencer went to sleep, Janelle got up. (A vicious cycle for sure!) But it's all good!
