Santa's Village

Last night my grandparents invited us to go to Santa's Village in Richardson near the library and civic center. We had a great time....even if it got a LITTLE cold at the end! Janelle was able to sit on a reindeer saddle and get reindeer food to leave out on Christmas Eve, get a cookie from Mrs. Claus' bakery, send a letter to the North Pole at the "post office," make an ornament at the ornament factory, visit the "police station," visit the North Pole library, and of course see the big guy himself. It really was a lot of fun! And the best part about it...it was all FREE!!! (For more info go to the Santa's Village website.)

I was really curious to see how Spencer would do with Santa Claus, since it was his first time seeing him. Janelle wouldn't go near Santa until just this year! But Spencer LOVED Santa. The second he was on Santa's lap, he was all smiles! Santa kept saying, "We need more little one's like this!" Guess Spencer will score big time this Christmas. Janelle was quite serious with Santa and told him specifically that she'd really been a good girl, and that she REALLY wanted the My Little Pony castle. I'm sure if she keeps being a good girl, Santa will come through.
I think this Santa just might be the REAL DEAL, and not just one of his helpers like most of the other Santa Clauses. He's the best one I've seen in years!

Spencer seems to know how to act around the big guy..."bring me whip cream flavored binkies Santa!"

I was hesitant to stick all three cousins on Santa's lap, but Santa insisted.

By the time we took Janelle's picture she was loaded up on hot chocolate, all sorts of cookies, and a candy cane....too much sugar!

Spencer and daddy waiting in line to see Santa.

WOW! What an awesome place. I wish we could go to something like that. How fun. That really might be the real Santa! We had our ward party last night and he was definitely one of the helpers.

that looks like so much fun. I need to remember all these things for when we move back to Dallas! (but who knows if I can hold onto all of this for another 2 years or longer!)

How fun! You got some cute pictures and I'm sure Janelle gained some pretty great memories!

That does look awesome! I think we'll try and go this year (I don't really feel like hauling a 3 week old out there in the cold). I need to learn about all the fun things because there is so much more than I realized around here! Oh, and you can come visit us anytime!

I can't believe all that stuff was free. What a deal.
