Other than the horror of the washing machine being vandalized on Tuesday, not too much has been going on around our house. Fortunately, I do have some new pictures to post!
Last Tuesday we ventured out to the Ft. Worth Zoo with Grandma and my cousins. I hadn't been to the Ft. Worth Zoo since I was little, so I was really excited about it. Everyone loved it! It's almost right up there with the San Diego Zoo. We saw some very impressive animals! I'm not sure I can ever go to the Dallas Zoo again. Too bad Ft. Worth is a major pain in the rear end to drive to...especially when you're stuck in traffic.
We were so happy we got to see my Aunt Melinda and my two cousins, Kiersten and Kara over Thanksgiving. Janelle adores my little cousins and loves it when she gets to hang out with the big girls.
Anyway, we saw tigers and coyotes (not good neighbors), owls, snakes (ugh), elephants, lions, hippos, alligators (very cool), giraffes, rhinos, ginourmous turtles that looked like they were prehistoric, and others. Janelle's and my favorite exhibit was the white tiger. It was beautiful! When we came up to it Janelle exclaimed, "Hey, there's Lisa!"
(FYI: Lisa is Janelle's stuffed white tiger she's had for a few years that my parents bought for her in the Asia section of EPCOT Center at Disney World. She sleeps with Lisa every night and drags her on every overnight adventure - Grandma's house and vacations. So she was pretty excited to see a real "Lisa.")
Janelle also got to feed the birds. She was so excited when one landed right on her seed popsicle stick. Here's to you, Azul.
Spencer loved, loved, loved the zoo. He was so much fun to watch. He especially loved the "kitties" (AKA: cougars, panthers, and tigers). I tried to explain to him that they weren't very cuddly or nice kitties, but he just kept pointing to them and saying, "kitty....meow." Silly kid. He had a good ol' time walking around with Grandma and his monkey harness.

Not my favorite drive either!
I'm so glad you go to go though. We LOVE it. Now you can see why we have memberships so we can go whenever we want. Kathryn and Hannah always love it too. I'm glad you had a good time!
WE LOOOOVE the Fort Worth Zoo, it is one of our favorite places. The birds are so fun! Glad you guys had a good time!
It looks like a really neat zoo. It also looks nice and warm there, I wish we had that weather going on here.
