Asian Market

You can't get too much more authentic than this place! The rancid raw fish smell, produce displayed up and down the street, tiny Asian restaurants here and there, bits and pieces of Chinese or Korean floating in and out of your ears. It was amazing! We all loved it! Kyle (who served his mission in the Philippines and then spent a semester in China) and my brother (who served his mission in Taiwan) were right at home here.

Apparently Asians have a thing for orange soda. Kyle quickly found an Orange Royal and fresh mango smoothie for us to try. The mango smoothie was divine, imported mangos will never do the trick for me anymore! Spencer was happy slurping down the orange soda.
My "little" brother, Daniel, charming a little old Chinese woman. We had him ask a group of older ladies in Mandarin where the best place to eat was later in the day, and they couldn't get enough of him! They were tickled pink that this white kid could speak their language!
Kyle and Janelle in the food court. You wouldn't believe all the sites and smells...good ones this time!
The Chinese restaurant we finally settled on. We feasted on noodles and rice and dumplings...mmmmm.

I know this isn't a good picture, but I was trying to capture Janelle slurping her noodles. This restaurant was chopsticks, or fingers...no silverware! It was hilarious watching Janelle trying to eat her noodles with just chopsticks. She eventually got to be pretty good!
