Our little Spencer is off to a good start in his charming the ladies training...he can make chocolate chip cookies, and now he can unload the dishwasher. He's been intrigued with the dishwasher since before he could even walk, so I wasn't surprised about a week ago when he started taking all the silverware out to of the basket and putting it knowingly in the silverware drawer. He definitely knows how to charm his mom!
Fortunately Janelle has a few inches on her little brother and is always willing to organize the silverware when Spencer's done with his part of the job.
Unloading the silverware is Spencer's new job every morning. The funny thing is that once he's done he starts taking the silverware back out of the drawer and putting it back in the dishwasher basket. At least it keeps him busy for a good 4 minutes!

That is really cute. Alex is obsessed with the dishwasher too. Only she mostly sucks the water off the open door or sits on it. I should teach her how to empty the silverware too and then we can turn this into a positive thing. Thanks for the idea!
Maybe he's trying to make up for that whole washing machine incident. Keep it up, Spence!

Sam loves the dishwasher too! He doesn't usually get much of a chance to play with the dishes inside, so he is always pushing the buttons on the front. Avary is a great helper when it comes to putting the silverware away too. Wouldn't it be nice if they would stay that way?
