Today Kyle and Janelle sang this song in church for Father's Day. (This recording was done at my parents house later in the day.) They did a cute job and I was so proud of Janelle for being so brave and singing so well in front of all those people! I'm pretty sure I was more nervous for her than she was!

Later when we got home I asked Janelle if she liked singing in front of all those people and in the microphone and she said, "Yeah! I was like Hannah Montana! I'm going to be a singer when I grow up!"
I instantly thought, "Christian rock, maybe?"

OK, I don't want to gush here...scratch that, Janelle you were great. You sang on key with good expression and musical quality and so poised at the same time. I could not be any more impressed. And it is so good that you were able to share that with your ward. I am sure it touched a lot of people. Thank you for sharing it with us on your blog, I wish we could have been there to see it in person but this is great too.

Wow! I am so impressed!! What a wonderful duet. And what a beautiful singing voice Janelle has. It was so on pitch!! You know, her great grandmother Betty (my mom) was a singer with the New Orleans Metropolitan Opera Co. so it runs in the family. I know Kyle has a beautiful voice because I've heard it for many years but it's wonderful to see Janelle has one too. I think there are many years ahead of father-daughter duets.

That was so great. I wish I could have been at your church to see it. I am really impressed with how well Janelle sings and that she was brave enough to sing in front of so many people. I loved when they sang together, what a sweet moment. Good job guys!
