Spencer had his Renal Mag-3 (radiation test) done yesterday. This test is similar to the last test he had, just more in-depth, so he had to go to a different hospital. We had to be there at 1:30 even though the test wasn't until 3:00, so we had a LOT of waiting around to do. But the nurses were great! They blew bubbles for Spencer, let him watch tv, got him two cars to play with that he could take home, and even let him have one of the fleece blankets that had just come in from some volunteers. He picked a "Nemo" blankie that he now drags around with his car blankie everywhere. What a nice service project! The blanket is so soft and big and it kept him nice and warm while he was getting all of his stuff done (he's starting to outgrow his little "car" blanket). I wish I could tell whoever made it thank you!
He did great during his test. He was under anesthesia again this time and conked out easily just as last time. The test took about an hour and 40 minutes, so when he was finally waking up they came to get me and I found him in the arms of the anesthesiologist, grumpy and bare bummed! The anesthesiologist told me that he asked Spencer if he could put his diaper on and Spencer told him "no." So he asked him if he wanted Mommy to put it on and he said, "Yeah." I quickly got him dressed and then we headed back to the pediatric unit so he could finish waking up and then get some fluids down him (he hadn't had anything to eat since 9:00 that morning). They had us wait about an hour just to make sure he wasn't nauseous and that he could walk steadily and then we were out of there...well, out of the hospital to face rush hour downtown Dallas traffic, anyway.
We won't know anything until his follow-up appointment in a couple of weeks. But whatever the results, we know he's definitely being taken care of by some great doctors.

How hard on you to see your little guy go thru this! Hopefully the doctors will be able to get the information they need. Your family will be in our prayers!
