*Scroll down for part 1
Our first day in New Mexico was jam packed with hiking. After the volcano and ice cave, we drove about an hour down the road to this beautiful spot: El Murro.
This place was incredible! The rock formations were beautiful and HUGE. There were a bunch of these carvings in the rock dating back as far as the late 1600's with all sorts of names and messages from travelers. This one was my favorite because it was so pretty!
A major crack in one of the rocks that is being very carefully monitored.

Just a cool shot of the rock.
Here's my mom again with one of her treasured finds: a dandelion the size of a softball. Too bad we couldn't take it home, my kids would have loved it!

*Notice the hat I am now wearing backwards (thanks Dad!). By this time of day, my neck was REALLY starting to feel the effects of the sun. Darn UV rays.My favorite picture I took.
