Today's windy but gorgeous 85 degree day got me in the mood for fall. I'm done with summer...done with the heat. So to encourage fall to make it's grand debut I added a touch of autumn to our house.
I put out the Halloween wreath I assembled last night.
(And for those of you that don't know me that well, I am notorious for leaving out seasonal wreaths on my door LONG after the season is over. So down came the 4th of July wreath and up went the Halloween!)I'm tired of shaving my legs every other day. I'm ready for pants, so today out came the jeans from the bottom of my drawer which go ever so nicely with my new fall shoes that I've had for a month!

Then I thought, "Well, I'm already dressed up, why don't I do my hair today?" (Which hasn't seen anything other than mousse and a pony tail for the last two weeks.)

Laura!!! I keep on warning you, this type of behavior will only encourage Summer to hang around just to spite you!
You need to go out, buy a pair of shorts, a new bathing suit, and a sun shade for the car. That's the only way to make sure fall is going to start on time this year.
Kyle is right! Deeply discounted swimsuit section, here I come (yeah right!)
I need to assemble my halloween wreath! Wasn't that the best deal last year?
Thanks for the popcorn! A diet buster for sure! (but it tasted OH so good!)
I agree. BRING ON THE FALL!! I was thinking of making my own halloween craft project tonight.
I absolutely LOVE those shoes!!!! Fall is my favorite season, it can't come soon enough here! Still 90s and humid! Booo
Your hair looks so beautiful! Mine has been in a pony for 2 months! I can't remember the last time I straightened it. Come on FALL!!
I'll take the popcorn recipe please! :-) And I'm so ready for fall too!
1) I heart your new wreath. That shade of orange is fab. 2) Your adorable new shoes make your feet look like they're itty-bitty. 3) Now that's VaVaVoom hair! Sassy.
Super cute! Love the shoes and the hair, and the wreath! I too love fall, but I can't decide if I'm really ready for it, because out here Fall lasts for only a few really short weeks, and then we're into the depths of the bitterly cold, can't go outside, and do anything, winters. :( :) I'm holding on to the last threads of summer with all my little might. :D
Rinda (the triplet) and I are living together at the moment and have been on a fall soup kick - it cooled off here clear down into the 60s after 100 degree weather just the day before - so we made butternut squash soup tonight with a piece of wheat toast and raspberry rhubarb jam that we made the night before. It was very fitting for the season. Delish! That carmel chocolate popcorn sounds great!
I love your wreath! Your hair looks great too. I am so ready for fall. I can't wait to get my fall wreath out
Okay, first of all, how do you just assemble a cute wreath like that in one night? And how do you find such cute shoes? :)
I'm ready for fall too. I love how the seasons change, but I wish fall and spring were longer. Anywhere I've lived, they are the shortest seasons. Good thing you are getting an early start!
Yep, TOTALLY ready for fall here too!!!! So ready! I'm ready for holidays and everything!!! Your shoes look super cute and the popcorn looks yummy! My girls would LOVE that!
PS I still have my 4th of July door decor up too--I said I'd take it down after labor day. Oops. :)
I'm happy to see everyone else is ready for fall too!
Just FYI: The wreath was a kit that my friend picked up for me in the clearance section last year after Halloween I think it was $2). I just got around to assembling it a few nights ago! It was fun to do and EASY!
P.S. Shay, it takes me forever to find cute shoes. I'm always on the lookout, but I happened upon these a month ago at Rack Room Shoes and couldn't pass them up even though I knew I wouldn't be wearing them anytime soon!
I am so ready for fall. I love your fall wreath. Your blog post makes me want to get my fall decorations out. :)
Love the hair and the shoes and now I have to make some carmel corn!!!
Cute post, wawee!! I have felt for you, exercising in the Texas heat. I actually broke a sweat yesterday jogging because it warmed up to 70 degrees. We are already wearing sweatshirts at the bus stop each morning! Hopefully it'll cool down soon for you - 85 degrees is a start, right? Cute decorations - you have me motivated. I'm doing a big Halloween party this year for Gab & her friends, so I must get busy. Love ya, Auntie La
