Even though my dad was adamant about not having a huge party for his birthday, we still celebrated big time. I got the shirts made that said, "Celebrating Dad's/Grandpa's 50 with Mickey" which we wore 3 days we were there. And Disney provided him with an "It's My Birthday" pin to wear. So between the two he got LOTS of birthday wishes and quite a few rounds of "Happy Birthday" from complete strangers...not to mention a robot! We had his birthday dinner at a Moroccan restaurant in EPCOT where there was belly dancing. It was a lot of fun! Then that night we back to our hotel where we'd ordered a cake. I don't have all the pictures because some of them are on my other camera which my brother still has. Darn. Oh well.
My dad embarrassed that Mickey & Minnie were so excited about his birthday. Hee hee!

One day while we were eating lunch, this employee rang this big cowbell and shouted out, "Hey everybody, we have a special 50th celebration here! Please join me in a round of Happy Birthday!" And then the whole room sang! We didn't even tell the guy...I guess the shirts were a dead giveaway. We also won these cool Mickey ears as part of the "Million Dreams" giveaway. I'm pretty sure it was because of my dad. :)

Did Rachel and her kids go? Looks like you had a great time. Your dad is seriously the most young-at-heart person I know. He's always so much fun. Tell him Happy (late) Birthday from me.
Kristen- No, poor Rachel and Erin were stuck in school. We sure missed them though!
Now that's the way to celebrate your birthday! Now I've got the Disney itch... maybe next year!
