I've been having a little photo/computer-trouble lately, but never fear, we're up and running once again. (Thanks to my tech-savvy husband who stayed up 'til midnight fixing it last night!!!) Here's how we spent our splendidly sweet Valentine's Day.
The kids managed to talk Daddy into taking them out for a breakfast sugar-spree at the doughnut shop. I was all too happy to oblige and patiently waited on the couch curled up with a book in my nice peaceful home until they brought me one back. The kids are pretty sure they got the best end of the deal, but I'm pretty sure I did. :)

We took it pretty easy the rest of the day, we did a little cleaning in between lounging and playing sessions. It was great! Then we decided to get out of the house and chill for a little while at Trade Days until it was dinner time. The kids were nice and tired by the time we got home and went to bed like angels, then Kyle and I started our at-home date night. We made homemade pot stickers, grilled pork chops over yakisoba noodles & of course chocolate covered strawberries. It was deeeeeeelish! I just love, love, LOVE that Kyle is such a great chef!
The master at work.
Then we snuggled on the couch to "Battlestar Galactica." It was the perfect Valentine's Day! Thanks honey!

Hi Laura,
I haven't seen your blog in a long time, so I enjoyed looking tonight. I made hooded towels around Christmastime, and I agree; for the sewing impaired it made me feel like I had accomplished a lot.
Valentine's dinner looked great! Come on over, Kyle.
Give the kids a squeeze....they're growing so much.
Holy cow, that does look good!!
Where do you buy your yakisoba noodles? I have been buying mine at Target and Walmart, but they seem totally overpriced.
And isn't this season of B.G. getting so good?
Celia- I just get it at Wal-Mart or Target too. Not even Market Street carries them! Weird. In Provo we could get them at almost any grocery store. And yes, BS IS getting good! During each episode my heart is racing until well after they're over!
Yeah, the costco i went to in UT used to carry carry them and it was fabulous because you could freeze them in small batches and use what you needed. I'll have to check the Asian market and see what they can find. Too bad I'm not down that way more often though.
Yum. Yum. Yum. I want!
The close-up of those strawberries is too much...torture!
I've never cooked with those noodles, it is on my "need to try it" list!
And the pot stickers??? Are they homemade or store bought? If so when where how... I love pot stickers and I've yet to find so I'm in love with that I can do at home.
Kendra- The pot stickers are homemade and SO easy to make! I'll have Kyle write down a recipe for me so I can post it. And it usually makes a TON, so once they're made you can freeze them and take them out anytime! Also, I think the pot stickers from Costco are pretty good, definitely not as good as homemade, but the best ones I've had that are frozen. I'll post that recipe soon!
Thanks!!! I'll send you my chocolate mousse recipe.
Yay!!! Thank YOU!!!
