Last night Janelle's school hosted a 50's Night Sock Hop. Originally we weren't going to go, but Kyle hasn't seen much of the kids lately, so we changed our plans, rolled up our pants and slicked down our hair. It was SUCH a fun night! The kids LOVED it! We had hamburgers and root beer floats, got our picture taken 50's style, and twisted and mashed-potato'd out on the dance floor! Spencer was cuh-razy. He hadn't taken a nap that afternoon so I was a little worried he was just going to throw tantrums all evening long. But he got out on the dance floor with all the big kids and boogied his little heart out. It was so funny! He totally crashed by the time we got home.
All gussied up and ready to go!
All gussied up and ready to go!

Not quite sure what that look is for, but she's cute anyway!
The lone picture of Kyle and I. Don't you LOVE Kyle's greased back parted hair??? He played the part to a T!

Mmmmm...root beer floats!
Dancing her little heart out!
(Notice the disco ball....did they have disco balls in the 50's??? Hmmm...I'm pretty sure not.)
