develop on fridays

I haven't had a lot of time for photography lately, and that makes me sad. So when an old family friend of Kyle's that is an AMAZING photographer (Jefra Star Linn) started this group, Develop on Fridays, I realized it was the perfect thing for me right now!

Lesson one was about finding your creative voice, we were supposed to take 75+ pictures of one subject and then post our favorite and any runners up.

Here's what I came up with...

I am in love with anything vintage. I love old photos, antique nick nacks, old pieces of furniture that have some history behind them, if it's old and it has a story behind it, I will love it!

This little lamb was given to me when I was a baby by my paternal grandparents who died shortly after I turned 1. As a teenager, I did a lot of research on them and feel like I was able to get to know them through my dad and aunts and uncles. When this photography lesson came up, this was the first subject that came to mind. It represents my love for my family and my fascination with my heritage.

I also think my lack of sleep might have had some inspiration.... :)

This was my favorite:

This one came runner up. I had a little helper following me around as I was taking these, and of course, he made a great subject. :)

I don't love this one...but I do like that it kind of has that antique look to it.

I'd love to know what you think!

Honestly the 3rd one that you say you don't love, is my FAVORITE one. I'm going to check out your friends site. Sounds like a cool thing.

There is nothing like getting out and just photographing something. I used to hate just using items as subjects, but since starting my 365 I've really started to like it.

Way to go for starting on this project.

Impressive. I love the last one, too. It displays a great sense of shading, texture, and reflection. And Spencer couldn't be cuter, of course.
