7 Months

I'm a little behind...but I didn't want to forget what 7 months brought us!

  • Still 17 lbs.
  • MAJOR crawling and pulling up to things. Can we say baby proofing? Yikes! She can get practically anywhere she wants to go. She especially loves crawling under tables and chairs and getting stuck. Nope, I pretty much don't get a thing done during her waking moments.
  • A nice fungal rash all over her face, poor thing! She's had it for a few weeks now and it's SLOWLY getting better, but it's sure taking forever.
  • Took her first trip to Disney World! She did great! She slept in the stroller for naps (which I was a little nervous about, because she hadn't really done much of that before), she got used to bottles (yea!), she even did well when we went out to eat (a miracle!). I thought she started teething again because her top gums felt swollen, but it's been a week and no teeth yet. However, I did give her Tylenol and that seemed to help her quite a bit. She also got some major allergies at the end of the week, but my uncle (her doctor) called in a decongestant and she was good to go again. We all had such a fun time!
  • She says "bababababababababa" all the time. It's pretty stinkin' adorable. :)
  • She is a Momma's girl if I've ever seen one! If somebody else picks her up to hold her, she is on high alert where Mommy is. When she's tired, she'll only go to me. I think she would love it if I just held her all day long. It's flattering...and a little frustrating. Haha!
  • She still loves bath time. Twice she has almost jumped out of my arms when I was holding her and I turned the water on in the bath tub.
  • She is sloooooooooowly adjusting to sleeping through the night. I started the whole sleep training thing with her at about 6 1/2 months (so a month now). Ideally, she goes to bed at 6:30pm, wakes up at 9:30 and I nurse her, then she's down until the next morning when she wakes up at 6 or 7am. I had no luck with it until right before we left on our trip. Of course traveling totally threw her off so she did not do well at night in Orlando, but since we've been back it's kind of a hit or miss sleeping through the night. She usually wakes up around 2-3am, but I just stick her binkie back in and give her her blanket and she goes right back to sleep. I think she slept through the night last night. I turned the baby monitor way down last night, so I'm not sure if she woke up and I just didn't hear her, or if she actually lasted the whole night!
  • When she's frustrated her face turns bright red and she makes the funniest growl/screech . I can't help but laugh at it!
Ally sure keeps us on our toes, but boy do we love her!
