First Grade Finale at Life School

Field Trip to the Dallas Zoo

During kindergarten I couldn't go on Janelle's field trip because I was pregnant and really sick. She was very disappointed. So THIS year, at the beginning of the year, she asked me if I could go. Periodically throughout the year, she'd remind me that I told her I would go on her field trip. The volunteer forms finally were passed out and I knew I'd better make it a priority! I figure I'd better go while she actually wants me there! We had a lot of fun and I enjoyed seeing her around her friends.

Unfortunately I had some pictures of Janelle's last day of school but Spencer deleted them off my phone. Grrr... Janelle is going to be so sad!

She received awards for being on the A Honor Roll and Excellence in Responsibility.

It was sad saying goodbye to all her friends and teachers at Life School knowing they wouldn't be there next year. :( We are REALLY going to miss that school! Fortunately the two first grade classes at Life School were pretty close and have scheduled play dates throughout the summer. All the moms are awesome. Janelle has already been to 3 birthday parties for school friends and she's only been out a week and a half. Craziness.

I registered her for school last week at the elementary school she went to for kindergarten. She's happy she'll already know a bunch of the kids, so I'm sure she'll be fine.
