Ally turned 9 months while we were in Park City. She's quite the little bundle of personality!
Milestones:
- She growls. A lot. Happy, sad, frustrated, bored...most of the time it's fairly hilarious. ;)
- She can wave and say hi. Kyle's Aunt Melanie taught her how to do this. Every time Ally would see Melanie, she would wave her hand and say "Ayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyye." She even does it when she sees pictures of Melanie. Sooooooooooo funny!
- Her top canine teeth are about all the way through- we're up to 6 teeth!
- She's starting to prefer "real" food. She still loves pureed sweet potatoes, but that's about it as far as baby food goes. Her new favorite foods are semi-mashed bananas, green beans, nutri-grain bars and ice cream of course. I love that she's starting to feed herself! It makes dinner time MUCH easier!
- We're done nursing. Not exactly by choice. I got a UTI a couple weeks ago and couldn't nurse with the antibiotic they gave me, so it was either pump for a week or just be done. She was only nursing at night and in the mornings anyway, so I just quit. She's doing great with formula (not that it's great buying it!).
- She took her first 22-hour car trip to Park City (and 22-hours back!). She actually did okay. She slept for quite a few long stretches. But half an hour before we would make a stop she would wake up and fuss. Every time. Like clock work. Oh well. Next time should be easier since we can turn her car seat around and she can see things better!
- She's one speedy crawler and can walk around the furniture. I'm sure she'll be walking soon, but hopefully not too soon. She's kind of a scaredy cat and won't stand on her own yet. Janelle walked at 9 months, Spencer at 10 months. I'm crossing my fingers she'll go for 11!
- Not sure about height and weight yet, she goes to the doctor soon, so we'll see. I'm sure she's close to 20 lbs.
