Eleven? Eleven Months??

I can't believe my baby is 11 months. Where in the world did the last year go?

Ally is SUCH a blessing in our lives. We love her to pieces! Here's what she's up to...

  • She's not a huge fan of milk, she still prefers formula. Crazy girl. She better get used to it because I am NOT buying it after 12 months!
  • She JUST took her first steps today!!! She stood up in the kitchen and took 4 solid steps toward me all by herself! I think she surprised herself, but she gave me a huge smile after I'd made such a big deal about it. ;) She tried a few steps here and there throughout the rest of the day. It's not going to be long before I'm chasing her down all over the place!
  • Her normal schedule goes something like this...6:45ish- wakes up and drinks 8 oz. of milk and then crawls around usually creating havoc while the kids are rushing around getting ready for school. 7:30am- Stroller ride to take Janelle to school. 8:30am- Nap. Either at home or usually in the car running Spencer to preschool or running errands. 11am- lunch and play. 1:00pm- Nap. 2:30pm- I usually have to wake her up for another stroller ride to the school to pick Janelle up. Hangs out with the kids after school, eats a snack, crawls all over folded laundry, eats everything in sight on the floor, jabbers, screams, cries. 4:45pm- dinner. For some reason even if I give her a late snack she cannot wait until 5:00 for dinner. She just cries until I finally give in and give her dinner. 5:15pm- bath because she usually makes a huge mess at dinner. After her bath we wrangle pajamas and lotion on her and she chills out until about 6:30pm when she has a bottle and then goes to bed. She's a busy kiddo!
  • She says, "Dadee," "Uh-oh," "Kee-ee" (Kitty), "Dake Ooo" (Thank you), "Ee-uh-oo" ("Peek-a-boo), "Mom," "Gigi" (Janelle), "Papa"( Grandpa), "Aww Duh" (All done), "Hiiiiiiii" and she also adamantly shakes her head for "no." She also says "Dadoe" a lot, but I have no idea what that means.
  • She still loves, loves, loves her Daddy and Grandpa. It's super cute when Kyle comes home from work because she gets SO excited and then won't let him put her down for the rest of the night! And when we're at my Mom and Dad's house if Grandpa is around she makes a beeline straight towards him. If I held out my arms and Grandpa held out his arms she would pick Grandpa's arms in a heartbeat! I think she's got Daddy and Grandpa wrapped around her little chubby finger. ;) It's pretty darn cute!
  • She has enough hair for these cute little pig tails in the back of her head, but she will not keep anything in her hair for the life of her. Her hair is usually always a mess. It's not for lack of trying. Really.
  • Since the beginning of September she's had two major allergy bouts. Oh boy. Hello sick season. I've bought more humidifier filters in the last year than I ever have in my whole life. Poor baby.
  • She's still a binkie baby. I try not to give it to her unless she's going to bed, but sometimes she finds them around the house and happily sticks them in her mouth.
  • She loves to play with our little xylophone! She will happily bang on that thing for a good 20 minutes at a time.
  • We love her! I can't believe she'll be one in less than a month!!!
