Can't keep up!

For some reason my life has been moving in fast forward mode...can someone please tell me how to slow it down?!

Things have been nuts around here, I tell ya! Here's what's been going on in a nutshell...

  • We moved in with my parents to save a little money while Kyle finishes up school (1 1/2 years to go, yea!). They approached us with the idea after we'd mentioned we're trying to figure out ways to save money. They had a bunch of extra empty rooms (and I think it was getting a little too quiet around there for them with just my 15-year-old sister left at home) so we took them up on it. ;) We've made it nice and loud for them again! It's been really nice! It's been especially nice having a few extra hands around to help me with Kyle gone so much. We're leasing our house...well, in the process of trying to get it leased anyway. Moving has been a little on the overwhelming side for me. Who knew we had SO MUCH STUFF?
  • Kyle's been crazy busy with work and school and a potential counseling study abroad next year. (Just 3 weeks...I can handle that...I think.) He recently rode in a 30-mile bike race for the Make a Wish Foundation and had a great time! Now he's ready to invest in a road bike. ;)
  • Let's see...I've been teaching preschool, doing lots of photography for people, volunteering at Janelle's school and Spencer's preschool, making Halloween costumes, baking treats for this and that, trying to get our house totally packed (nearly there!), running (trying to get back up to 8-miles again by Thanksgiving for the Turkey Trot) and being mom to three extremely active and busy kiddos. I sleep very well at night. ;)
  • Janelle started school for the second time this year in Prosper. She loves it! She's already made lots of friends (mostly boys, go figure) and has a great teacher. She's taking piano and is in a singing/dancing group called Show Stoppers. She is one busy kiddo!
  • Spencer is working super hard at not sucking his thumb to earn a game called "Whack a Mole." He plays it at preschool and apparently it's the most fun game ever. He wants it REALLY bad, so I told him he could get it if he earned enough marbles in his jar by not sucking his thumb. The first few days were kind of hard for him, but today he did GREAT! Hopefully he'll keep it up. He goes to preschool 4 days a week (3 days at his school in Prosper and one day with me at Munchkin Academy). He's a little smarty pants if I do say so myself and can already read small words. He also has one fiery temper that is starting to drive me crazy...something more to work on!
  • Ally turned 1!!! She's a little fireball of energy. When she's awake she is constantly on the go. And she's super bossy. She babbles to everyone in a very demanding tone, definitely not a pushover. ;) She LOVES to climb up the stairs at my parents' house. If you start walking up them while holding her, she pulls that straight jacket position where she's nearly impossible to hold until you put her down and let her go up herself. Then when she gets to the top she's always so proud of herself. ;) If only she could go down stairs... She's walking all over the place these days, it's hard to keep up with her!
I'm having hard drive storage issues (I'm totally out of storage), so I've got to go buy a new external hard drive this weekend so I can get pictures downloaded again! I've got a bajillion to get up. But until then...here's a peek at Ally's birthday.

I'm tired just from reading that! I think I'll go take a nap now. Those pictures of Ally are to die for. The cupcake one is too much, after my nap I think I'll faint from the cuteness!
