Happy Mother's Day!

Still no pictures...I've definitely been taking them...just not uploading them. Someday!

I just wanted to post about my amazing Mother's Day before I forget the details. ;)

My morning started out by getting some extra sleep while Kyle got up with the kids. It was absolutely glorious lounging in bed. At about 8:45 (yes, that was seriously sleeping in for me!), Kyle and the kids brought me up the best breakfast ever...that I got to eat in bed! Kyle made me the perfect French Toast topped with a sweet cream cheese sauce, bacon, grapefruit and orange juice. It was so yummy and I was insanely full afterwards. Seriously, it was probably one of the best breakfasts I've ever had in my life. It was THAT good. ;) The kids showered me with homemade cards and gifts they had picked out with Daddy at the store.

We all got ready for church and actually made it there 25 minutes early (a record!). Unfortunately Ally has been sick all weekend so the plan was just for me to take her to Sacrament Meeting so I could hear the kids sing, but she ended up being a holy terror. I could tell she didn't feel good, so I couldn't blame her at all. But it was frustrating just the same. First I took her out in the hall, but she really wanted to go back in with everyone, so I took her back. She stayed entertained for a little while and then Kyle had to take her out. After a little while he brought her back in and the Primary kids sang, "Mother I Love You." So so cute! Spencer marched up there and was in the very front row and kept waving to me and mouthing "I love you!" Janelle did an awesome job, I could tell she knew all of the words! Poor Ally couldn't understand why she couldn't go up there too, she kept trying to escape and run up there! Finally Emily took her out again for a third time. Sacrament Meeting ended and I took her home for a much needed nap. We'd been in the car about 2 minutes and she conked out! We got home and both took naps until everyone else got home.

Apparently all the guys at church took care of Primary so all the moms could go to Relief Society. But not only did they just take care of the kiddos, they also practiced a song to sing to them in Relief Society for the last hour. My dad played the piano and Kyle got recruited at the very last second to conduct the song! I was SO SAD I missed it!

After church Kyle and my Dad made me a delectable dinner of Chicken Parmesan served with spaghetti AND pesto gnocchi and salad. It was so yummy and once again, I ended up insanely full! But there was more! My little sister, Emily made me mint chocolate brownies for dessert. I had to wait a couple hours before eating them, but they sure were good! My mom and dad also surprised me with a new Vera Bradley diaper bag for the baby. It is SO CUTE! And I totally feel like a hip mom with it. ;)

The kids tried so hard to be good most of the day. I really appreciated it! Unfortunately by the end of the day Janelle was getting really grouchy - more than the usual tired - so I felt her forehead and sure enough, she had a fever. Poor thing. She probably caught it from Ally.

Thus is the life of a mother...

It was a fabulous day! Thanks to Kyle, my Dad, my Mom, Emily and my three munchkins for making my day so special!
