She can officially sit! Yea!! Well...for short periods of time anyway. She also army crawls which is both rather impressive and hilarious at the same time. She can pretty much get to whatever she wants now. It might take her a little while, but she'll get there.
So far she's tried rice cereal, applesauce, bananas, prunes and today she tried peas. She doesn't have any major food aversions yet, which is nice. She loves those little biter biscuit cookies. I've also started giving her more bottles lately. Not exactly by choice...apparently my body is not making enough milk to sustain her, even supplementing with food. So I've had to resort to formula a few times a day. I was totally gung ho to make it to a year exclusively breastfeeding her, especially since she's my last one. But if I were to do that at this point she would be hungry and cranky all the time. I'd rather have a happy and full baby. Although I can't say I'm thrilled to be buying formula. 1. Because of all the crazy reports finding all sorts of bad stuff in certain batches/brands lately. And 2. It's so dang expensive! Oh well. I suppose I'll be doing lots of formula research in the near future.
She's such a happy baby. I love going to get her out of her bed when she wakes up because she gives me the biggest smiles. She totally makes me feel like a celebrity. She's always on the lookout for me if someone else is holding her and gets pretty excited when I pick her up or smile at her. (Which is obviously a LOT. She's pretty irresistible.) Can we say Mama's Girl? :) Ally was (is) such a Daddy's girl, I have to admit, I'm loving every second of it. Evelyn also loves her brother. Spencer can ALWAYS get her to laugh. She thinks he's so hilarious. It's pretty darn cute. A few of her favorites are: bath time (the second she sees the water filling the bath tub she practically dives into it), snack time (with the biter biscuits), and squirming in my arms. She's such a sweet and fun addition to our family, I can't imagine life without her!
