Some recent cuteness at our house:
We were talking about birthdays coming up recently and Janelle asked me how old my little sister Emily was turning next month. I told her she would be 17. She replied, "Whoa. She's almost a woman!" Totally made me laugh. :)
Spencer started having everyone at school call him William. His teacher, his friends and he signs all his papers William. I guess his teacher taught him how to spell it, because I didn't. Haha!! I think it's so funny!
Spencer also loves to tell me about his kindergarten teacher (who I think he secretly has a crush on). She is absolutely the best teacher ever for him. She's really young and cute and SO good with little kids. He tells me that she's a princess and that she lives in a pink castle and that her Prince Charming visits her sometimes. And he talks about it like it's totally a normal way to talk about his teacher. It's so cute!
I recently was having a conversation with Janelle about staying healthy. I told her, "I hope you're remembering to wash your hands really well, because pink eye is going around." Spencer overheard and chimed in, "Yeah, and black eye too. And it's even WORSE!" Ahahahaha!!! Love that kid.
Ally was outside early evening yesterday and there were quite a few May Flies out. She came back in and kept saying over and over, "Ewwww!! Yucky skeetos!"
Ally was driving me craaaaaaazy a couple mornings ago so out of exasperation I told her, "Ally, Mommy needs some space!" Obviously I didn't expect her to understand me, but she surprised me and left the room! After a good minute she comes back in the room with a little bottle of hairspray. She hands it to me and says, "Here Mommy. I bwing you some spay." Holy cuteness! I couldn't be frustrated with her after that!
Saturday is a special day at our house because it is the one day of the week my kids are allowed to have sugary cereals. Ally's absolute favorite junk cereal is fruit loops which she adorably calls "Buhloop bloops." She asks for it all week long, and it's almost adorable enough to cave during the week...almost.
About 1:30 this afternoon, Ally had only been asleep half an hour and Evelyn uncharacteristically woke up early from her nap (sigh). As I was feeding and changing Evelyn, I said, "Evie, can't you go back to sleep so Mommy can have a quiet time?" She looked up at me, gave me a growl and then started blowing me raspberries. I took that as a blanket, "No."
I just love these kids. :)
