This picture doesn't really have much to do with what I was going to write about, but I thought it was so cute. This is Janelle and her best friend, Josh. They are good buddies, and his mommy and I have big plans for their wedding!
So today Janelle had her big 3-year-old checkup at the doctor. Last year she was terrible, and was so afraid to even let the nurse weigh her. So this year, I totally talked it up. I told her how fun it was to go to the doctor, and that he was going to check her with his cool doctor instruments. I made sure she knew exactly what he was going to check, so she could think about it and be prepared. Apparently it worked because she was happy and talkative the whole time. What a relief! I am definately blessed to have such a healthy child because she rarely has to go to the doctor other than regular checkups. So when she does have to go, it's a big deal to her. Fortunately this time was great. Even when the nurse gave her her shot, she only cried for a minute. Anyway, she's still in the 95th percentile for her height (at 3 feet, 4 inches), and in the 70th percentile for weight (34 pounds). She definately didn't get her tall genes from me! At this rate, she'll pass me by the time she's 10!

Laura, I had to laugh when you said she weighed 34 lbs b/c that is EXACTLY what Isabella weighed at her 2 year check! I keep hoping that she'll start growing tall and stop growing wide, although she is in the 75% for her height but over the 100% for weight! I've always watched what she ate so I don't know why she's so big, but now I am really focusing on getting her outside to run around! Love your pictures and congrats on the new one again!
