Why Bother?

"So you had a bad day..." as the song goes. I should have known when I heard that song twice in a row (different stations) on the way to a doctor's appointment this morning that something was up. Today was just one of those days where nothing seems to go right. (But I'll spare you the whining.) So I've been eating these Lean Cuisine things for lunch most days to help lose the baby fat. Although, something I've learned about myself...I am totally an emotional chocolate eater. When things go wrong, I totally crave chocolate. Hence, the dark chocolate M&M's. (I was elated when M&M's went to "the dark side!") So all the calories I saved with my Lean Cuisine lunch were all spent afterwards on a little package of M&Ms. But boy were they good, and oh so worth it!

Laura,
I have had a bad week! (I understand your plight!) Don't fret my pet, things will look up soon. Just think Sweedish Meatballs, and you will start to smile!

I've heard that it's ok to have chocolate everyday. I'm glad to hear someone else is an emotional eater. I also eat when I'm bored, so it's a double whammy! Hope things look up soon!

Lean Cuisine and m & m's are the best. Maybe we should all get together and talk about our woes and eat chocolate, then we'd feel MUCH better!!

Here's my take on trying to eat healthy (as you can probably tell from my chubby bum): If I try to be perfect I will inevitably fail. So, do your best and allow yourself a few imperfect moments. Oh yes, and at the doctor's office I read an article about how women who eat chocolate during their pregnancy deliver calmer, happier babies. Maybe it works for breastfeeding too?

I am definitely an emotional eater and definitely with chocolate. Mmmm. I'm sorry you had a bad day. I wish I was closer and could come visit you and cheer you up!

Laura I am sorry that had a bad day yesterday. I totally understand eating chocolate to feel better on a bad day, I usually go for the milk chocolate.
