Parental Bragging Rights

I just wanted to note what a sweet little boy I have. I cannot seem to get enough of this kid! He is such a sweetheart! Spencer is probably the happiest baby I have ever seen. He always has a big smile on that chubby little face that brightens my day. He is also very much a snuggler. Today when I was putting him down for his nap, he snuggled right into me, put his arms around me and started playing with my hair while resting his head on my shoulder. I held him for a few minutes then laid him down in his crib. Usually he fusses a little before going down, but today he just smiled up at me, stuck his thumb in his mouth, and went right to sleep. I can't tell you how much I love my baby boy. Every time I rock him this quote that my mom used to keep on her refrigerator comes to my mind. I'm not sure of the words exactly or even who wrote it, but here's the gist of it:

Cobwebs, go settle,
Dust go to sleep,
I'm rocking my baby
For babies don't keep.

Life gets too busy for me every now and then. Fortunately, I am able to step back and either read to Janelle before quiet time or rock Spencer for a few minutes before he goes to sleep, that's when I remember the important things in life. I treasure these times.

Laura, I was just thinking about the poem the other day when I was rocking Austin. It is so true, babies grow and change so fast.

Spencer is so cute. I can tell from his pictures that he is such a happy boy!
