Happy Easter!
Janelle was extremely photogenic today - I got some great pictures of her! Spencer on the other hand....
was extremely squirmy all day - this is the best I got of him with the empty Peeps box - beautiful.
The kids had a great Easter Sunday. The Easter bunny dropped by our house last night and left us all sorts of goodies. Janelle got some new sandals and play dishes + candy, and Spencer got a new board book and a tunnel (that Janelle seems to like more than Spencer). They both looked adorable in their little Easter outfits that Grandma Christa picked out for them - despite the fact that it was 50 degrees today and much too cold for shorts and short-sleeved shirts! Who would have guessed Easter would be so cold?? They didn't seem to mind though!
I, on the other hand, had a very stressful time at church. Our ward choir director has been begging Kyle to come to choir practice because they have a low turnout among men. So, despite the fact that I would much rather go, I've been letting him go. Usually it's fine, because he only sings one song and then is able to come and sit back down with me. However, today he was up on the stand during the whole meeting. Now let me preface this by saying that ever since Spencer started crawling, you can NOT get him to sit still more than 5 seconds. He is a very on-the-go little man. He also will not nap at all during church, so he gets extremely grouchy. Usually I take him out in the hall for most of Sacrament Meeting so he can be noisy and crawl around. Today I kept him in as long as I could until I desperately told Janelle to stay nice and still and color a picture while I took him out in the hall for a few minutes. Miraculously, she didn't freak out being all alone, and was actually really good while I took him out. It was a REALLY long meeting.
Fortunately, things got better after church. We had a really nice family dinner with my mom's side of the family and the annual Ferguson Family Easter Egg hunt for the kids. Janelle had a blast running all over my parents' and aunt and uncle's yards searching for eggs. Spencer was surprisingly happy for not getting his afternoon nap and especially loved going to to see my aunt and uncle's dog, Fritz. The kids both crashed the second we got home, so now Kyle and I can relax. Hope everyone had a happy Easter!!!

They're both so stinkin' cute! What a poser that little Janelle is. You poor thing - I was getting stressed out just reading about your predicament at church. That's a hard stage he's in. That aside, sounds like you all had a great Easter.
Laura, I was so sad when Kyle told me that your took your little ol' frazzled self and went home. Where was my whipsering sunday school back row buddy? It's just as well, they took me out of RS to help in the Nursery, again. There were only about 10 sisters in RS, I was the only one under 60.
Cute Easter pictures! I'm glad you were able to relax after church. Your self portrait is really cute too!
Janelle looks so cute in her easter dress. I love the gloves and hat too! It is so hard to keep kids quiet during church! It's funny to me that Sunday - the day of rest - is usually pretty stressful for me:)!
The kids look so cute!! I saw Janelle in the hall but I missed you. Glad you had a nice Easter. Sorry you had to be in sacrament by yourself. that is why when Chris is out of town I usually skip. It is hard with busy little boys.
