We recently took a trip to San Antonio, TX where we met my in-laws for the weekend. My father-in-law attended an architectural conference while we played with Grandma Kay. Fortunately we got to see Grandpa in the evenings and Saturday afternoon. We had a WONDERFUL time! Thanks Grandpa and Grandma!!
Packing
"Don't forget me mom!"The beginning of the drive when we were all happy and excited. (The atmosphere quickly changed from optimistic to bored and whiny.)

We were pleasantly surprised to pass through a city Kyle could be king of - Kyle, Texas. Maybe we'll move.Yea! We made it!!!
The Riverwalk
One of the many times we toted Prince Spencer up and down the stairs at the Riverwalk.
First I took this picture while we were waiting for Grandpa Bill to get out of class.
Then a guy saw me taking the picture above and asked me if I wanted him to take a picture of all of us. The first thought that passed through my head: "He's gonna run off with my camera!" But I didn't want to seem rude, so I said, "Sure." After he took the picture he asked us where we were from. When I said Dallas and Kay said Utah, the guy said, "Oh Utah, go Utes!" Then looked at me and shook his head, "I'm so sorry." Clearly he was referring to our sad stroke of luck in any professional sports category. Whatever, I wasn't offended since I'm not really into sports anyway. THEN, this complete stranger hugged me for my sad losses in being from a losing city. WEIRD! Why, oh why couldn't ONE sports team have done well last year or this year? Cowboys, Stars, Mavs, Rangers...ANYONE!!! I could have been spared a smelly hug from a weird middle-aged man. He finally left and we all agreed he'd had a little too much to drink. I must say, I'd never been hugged by a complete stranger before.A Riverboat Ride
(where we learned that an average of 15 people fall in a month!) You get fined for falling in if you're drunk, but not if you're just being stupid!

Great pictures. Glad you had a fun time. We hope to take the kids sometime. Just waiting for Hayden to get a little older.
Looks like you guys had tons of fun! I loved reading about it, and seeing the pictures. Just at a time when I am REALLY missing Mike, this post made me feel better because it brought back GREAT memories from when Mike was doing some training in San Antonio and Avary and I went to visit him. Avary was just a little older than Spencer, and we did all the same things... Riverwalk, Sea World, the Alamo. It was so fun! I LOVE San Antonio!
What a fun trip!
