Day 2: Sea World & Dinner with Grandpa at a yummy Mexican restaurant on the Riverwalk

Welcome to Sea World!
We had such a fun time at Sea World with the kids and Grandma Kay. Janelle LOVED it, and even Spencer seemed to enjoy himself! Thanks for such a wonderful day Grandma (and Grandpa who we wished had been there)!

My twinkie boys, I had no idea they were both wearing orange shirts until we got to the park!

The penguin that scared Janelle and Spencer giggled at.

Feeding the dolphins. It was so much fun being so close to such beautiful dolphins!

I'm not quite sure what Spencer was thinking when he saw the dolphins, but he couldn't stop staring at them!

Pretty dolphin!!!

Spencer at the sea lions show being a goofball!

Kyle wished he could take all these birds home with him. He even worked on Janelle who later told me, "We're GETTING A BIRD, mom, okay?"
My response, "Sure honey, as soon as you're 18!"

Janelle loved feeding the birds, but did NOT like it when one landed on her head!

Spencer and Daddy playing in the water...

...and on the slide...

...and on the play area.
"What in the world is this, Dad?"

Lunch break for Spencer with Mommy.

Meanwhile, Janelle is enjoying the playground too!

And then we found THE WATER PLAYGROUND!!!

Funny, as I was packing the diaper bag, I remember thinking, "Should I pack their swimsuits?...Nah, the water park isn't even open today. They shouldn't get too wet...but maybe they will...nah."

Someday I will learn to listen to my subconscious.
"Sure Mom, I won't get too wet."

"Oops!"

Oh well, who needs a bathing suit?

We LOVE WATER!!!

Janelle's underwear flying in the wind on the back of the stroller as we try to dry it out a little.

Janelle with her new dress we decided to purchase in order to get her out of her soaking clothes - nice and free under there!

Lunch break

Nap break

The Killer Whale Shamu Show
Spencer loves his Grandma!

Yes, that's a whale in the background!

Spencer was a little bored at this show, but the rest of us loved it!

VERY COOL!
I got a little teary eyed during the intro when they were saluting those in the military and their families, and Kay got a little teary eyed during the show - way to pull on our heart strings!

The Water Skiing Show

We got to this show a little early because we were all getting kind of tired and needed a break to sit down. 20 minutes before the show started they invited kids "of all ages" out to the beach for some hula hooping and sand castle building. Look at my cool mother-in-law move those hips!

And Janelle's attempts at hula hooping!

Spencer was the worst in this show. (He hadn't gotten very much sleep during the day due to all the excitement.) Kay and I took turns taking him to the top of the bleachers, so he wouldn't have to sit there. He'd about had enough of shows for the day!

One last pose with Shamu before we headed home.

A day at Sea World = a tired 4-year-old: SUCCESS!!

Numero Uno conked out.

Numero dos conked out.

Grandma gives Spencer a quick bottle before we head out the door for dinner. (Look how huge he looks!)

Mexican dinner on the Riverwalk

The mariachi band that played a $7 "Chicken Dance" song for us during dinner. Can you believe that?? $7 for one song? They're very sneaky about it too! They come up to you and ask you if you want them to play them a song, after an enthusiastic yes, they THEN inform you that it'll be $7. It was the most expensive song I'd ever heard!

Janelle embarrassing us by covering her ears up for the entire song - what a stinker!

Spencer, on the other hand, thoroughly enjoyed the music! The $7 was worth it to him!

Oh, I miss you all and Sea world! I think the san antonio sea world is a lot bigger then the one in san diego. It looks like fun. I was so sad during all the pictures because I wish we were there.
I love the picture of Janelle covering her ears!
