First I have to preface this entry by first apologizing to my sister-in-law, Jenni for being a copy cat. After looking at literally hundreds of bags, I realized you really had found the "perfect" diaper bag. I was going to get a different color (the orange one), but Kyle argued that it was too girly for a baby boy. Hence, my exact replica of your diaper bag. Whenever I get compliments on mine, I will give all diaper bag research credits to you!

I have the sweetest husband in the whole world. I've been doing lots of research lately on a good diaper bag (after living without one for the past few months because my cheap ones keep breaking). My sister-in-law showed me this one last October and it turned out to be my favorite one. I finally ordered it a couple of weeks ago, but then got an email back early last week that it was out of stock and was back ordered until July. Aargh. I REALLY wanted it for our trip to San Antonio because I didn't have a good bag for all of Spencer's stuff. So I found all the nearby stores that carried the JuJuBe brand and went to check them out. While I was at USA Baby in Frisco last Monday, I called Kyle (who was sick at home) to have him look up one more store for me - my last option before I gave up. When he realized what I was doing, he called a bunch of stores in Dallas to see if they carried it (who were out of stock) and a few in San Antonio since we were headed there in 3 days (who also didn't have it) and then a few stores in Austin, since it was on the way to San Antonio. After calling 20 stores, he found one children's boutique in Austin that had one left. He asked the lady if she could hold it until Thursday and even offered to pay for it over the phone, but she just told him she'd hold it. So we picked the bag up Thursday morning as we were driving through Austin.

Once we got to the store we found out that a lady had come the day after we called looking for the same bag for her daughter's baby shower. She was a little disappointed to find out it had been put on hold, and asked the lady if she'd ask us if she could just have the bag for the shower Saturday for her daughter to open up and then she'd receive the new one in August. We told her it probably wouldn't work out because we really needed the bag for our trip, the store clerk was fine since she'd promised it to us anyway. I swear, I probably got the last JuJuBe Packabe Brown Robin in the whole state of Texas until July!

My new diaper bag is GREAT! I LOVE IT! It was the perfect bag to have for our trip, and I know I'll continue to enjoy it hopefully for the next few years, since it was kind of expensive. Thanks Kyle - you're the BEST!!!!!!
