This last Monday Janelle started her second session of swimming lessons. She especially loves it this time because she has three of her friends in her class. I especially love it this time because I have lots of my friends to chat with for 35 minutes! As you might recall, session #1 accomplished Janelle feeling comfortable going underwater. Session #2 is already proving successful since as of Thursday she can now swim a short distance underwater. I am SO happy! She saw her little friend Elisabeth swimming around underwater in the shallow end at her lesson that day, so she just started doing it. That afternoon I'd planned to take her swimming at the gym we go to, and I thought I'd try having her swim to me from the side in some deeper water. She amazingly did! She has one more week of lessons in this session and then I think I'm going to have her do one more class before we head to Lake Powell at the end of the summer. I am so proud of Janelle, and I can tell that she is proud of herself, what a little swimmer I have!

That is so exciting! Wilson is going to start lessons next week and I'm hoping the same reaction from him. He's a very cautious little boy so I don't know how it's going to go. We are going to Lake Powell this summer too:-)
