Thanks to all my family, friends, and especially my great husband, I had a fabulous 26th birthday! I feel like I've been partying all weekend because I had such a fun day on Thursday and then again on Friday! Here are some of the fun things I got to do:
The morning of my birthday Kyle made me a berry smoothie and he and the kids sang happy birthday to me. Then Kyle gave me the morning for an hour and a half at the gym where I ran and then swam. It was SO nice getting to swim all by myself and not have to listen to the constant intercom calls for mommies to the childcare center!

For lunch my Mom, Grandma, and sister all met at my favorite Greek restaurant in Plano called Kostas. I LOVE Greek food, and the gyro I had was the perfect birthday lunch!

At 4:30 Kyle and I dropped the kids off at my parents house who very generously offered to keep the kids overnight (THANKS MOM AND DAD!!!!) so I could do whatever I wanted the next morning. So as mentioned previously, we headed to the Northpark mall to check out the infamous "Simpsons" Kwik-E-Mart. Let me just say, 7/1 1 was SMART to take on this advertising campaign. That store was insane! I'd never seen a gas station so busy!

They totally went all out with Krusty-O's, boxes and boxes of Homer's favorite pink dough nuts with sprinkles, and 6-packs of Bart's drink of choice: Buzz Cola. Kyle, of course, just HAD to get a can of Buzz which he says is now considered a collector's item. NO ONE is allowed to drink it!
Can we go to the mall now???
Of course we couldn't pass up a photo op with the big guy himself: Homer J. Simpson.
After the Kwik-E-Mart field trip it was off to see the much anticipated "Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix." Keep checking for my movie review coming soon!
As soon as the movie was over, my mother-in-law called us to tell us our sister-in-law Kayce was being induced at midnight. So little Louisa was born early in the morning on the 13th. Isn't she just darling??? What a fun birthday present!!!

On Friday Kyle, as promised, took me to the furniture store called "The Dump." And despite it's horrible name, the store is actually pretty nice. Of course the second we walked in I found the table of my dreams at an amazing price with a big ol' sign that said "SOLD" on it. Grrrrr... So my only advice if you make a trip down there is get there RIGHT when it opens so you can find the best deals and best items FIRST!!!
Later that evening, I went out with my good friends Ashley, Becki, and Mindy to celebrate mine and Ashley's (sitting right next to me with the black shirt) birthdays at Sam Moon and then the Cheesecake Factory. I not only share my birthday with my brother, but also my good friend Ashley, and Becki's mom!! You can check out Becki's blog for more pictures! We had a GREAT time, THANKS GUYS!!!!
(We missed you Sarah and Emily!!!)

Laura,
Looks like you had a great day! Sorry I couldn't celebrate with you! Happy 26th!
Happy late b-day! Sounds like you had a fun day. I was so surprised to find out that you like Greek food! This from the girl who would never eat oatmeal? I love it too:)
We are big fans of the Simpsons around here. I did not know about that Kwik-E mart. We got a big kick out of that!
