"Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix"LOVED IT!!!! I think it was the best of the Potter movies so far! You definitely walk out of this movie lovin' the good guys and despising the bad guys. Did anyone else pick Luna Lovegood as their favorite character in this movie? I thought the girl they picked to play her did a phenomenal job! I also liked the relationship foreshadowing between Ron and Hermione and Ginny and Harry. If you've read the 6th book you'll know what I mean. And who couldn't help but watch the Weasley twins' grand Hogwarts exit with a huge grin on their face???
Quite honestly the first time I read this book I didn't like it very well because of the constant anger Harry feels during the whole thing. So I was really curious to see how the movie would be. However, after reading the book a second time, an explanation from Kyle about the mind of a 15-year-old boy, and then seeing the movie, I like the story line a lot better.
The PG-13 rating is highly validated. I say if you're kids are old enough to and have read the book go ahead and let them see it. If they haven't, some of the scenes and characters/animals might be a little disturbing to young minds. And of course younger kids just won't understand the movie at all.
Obviously it's going to be hard to turn an 870 page book into a 2 1/2 hour movie, so there are some important scenes left out of it. But that's what the book is for, right? I think they did a good job of piecing the important parts of the story line together.
I give the movie a 5-star rating, a must-see for all Harry Potter fans. Now I'm anxiously awaiting the final book release on Saturday!
