The Gateway Mall Fountain
The Gateway Mall in Salt Lake has a large patio with a huge fountain that kids can run around in. We thought the kids would love running in it especially during the hot afternoon. Maybe they were just tired that day, but after 2 minutes in the water Janelle and Ayden were cold and grouchy and just ready to sit with Grandma. Oh well, Spencer and Alex seemed to like it!
"What's so cool about this wet floor, Mom?".................
(If you look closely you can see that Spencer is carrying around a plastic spoon that he got during lunch. It's funny because he finds things that he thinks are interesting and then carries them around all day long. I'm pretty sure he forgets about what he's holding, but still he doesn't let go. This day his pick was the plastic spoon which he carried through our entire mall trip and back to Park City.)

Don't be fooled by this picture, I practically had to drag Janelle over to be in it. At least she looks like she's having fun!

What a fun mall! Too bad Janelle didn't have much fun in the water.
You can plan and plan sometimes and if the kids just are not into it-- sometimes it just stinks! This is why, I love just being spontanious! Then, I have no expectation on vacation, and I am always plesantly suprised. BUT-- It does look like Janelle had a little bit of fun, and Spencer loved it. But, I think Spencer loves everything!
what a great place, will have to be added on the list for our next visit....in 4 years!!
