Vacation Week 2 - Part 1

Trip to Boise
One weekend during our Utah trip we decided to drive back with Kyle's sister and brother-in-law to Boise. We had a really fun time with them and appreciate them letting us crash their house. We got to see my good friend, Marcia and her family, meet some of Jenni and Brad's fun friends, we spent a refreshing morning at the pool, and then an exciting afternoon in Boise checking out the Discovery Center, a yummy pizza dinner, and seeing where Brad works. We had originally planned to float down the river, but Spencer was pretty grouchy that day and I wasn't sure how well he would behave for a babysitter, so instead we decided to take the kids to a children's science museum. We had a great time with them and only wish we could have stayed longer! Unfortunately I was not very good about taking pictures that weekend, but did remember my camera when we took the kids to the Boise Discovery Center.

Yes, definitely "hands on."

We got to pretend to be vets.
(notice the pet x-ray in the background)

Janelle, Ayden, and Aunt Jenni were easily entertained by rolling wheels down a ramp.

Alex made the best binky astronaut - she is TOO CUTE!

Uncle Kyle making a funny face for some unknown reason.

Spencer was a little confused by this contraption. You know those things where you talk into them and then you can hear the person on the other side of the room? He couldn't figure out why he could hear Janelle when he couldn't even find her!

"You're supposed to clap in it Daddy." (Ayden telling her dad the correct way to work this echoey thingy.)
Can you tell I'm very science oriented with my technical terms???

The grocery store was the biggest hit of the museum for Janelle. It looks like Janelle bought them out - check out the empty shelves!

Even Spencer got the hang of grocery shopping.

Time to check out!

Those are nails Uncle Brad is laying on. You lay on the table, push a button and then nails lift you up. You'd think it wouldn't feel too good, but actually it wasn't too bad. Definitely a weird feeling though!

My turn.

Jenni and Alex's turn.

Alex didn't exactly like her turn!

I am so glad that we got to see you guys last month. I have never been to the Discovery Center, but I think we are going to have to go soon. Looks like lots of fun!
