Here's how our little munchkin experienced Disney World:
With his monkey pal on his back (AKA: baby harness)
And before you judge me too harshly for putting my child on a "leash," (like my little sister did) let me just say it was a lifesaver. Spencer loved getting to walk around and I loved not having to worry that he was going to get lost. And as a side note: I can't tell you how many monkey harnesses we saw there (good ol' Walmart.com). So I'm not the only horrible mother out there. :)
Grandpa seemed to enjoy chasing Spencer around on his monkey, so he was put in charge of him most of the time.
Let me tell you why I love this picture: Apparently when my dad was a little boy, his parents took him to Disneyland. And my grandmother being the smart woman she was also put my dad and his little brother on harnesses. So here we are, 2 generations later.

Charming the Fairy Godmother
The Fairy Godmother took a special liking to this kid, I can't blame her. He is pretty darn cute!
Keepin' cool in the leaping fountain and with Auntie Emily's water bottle.

Taking power naps here and there.
In this particular picture the rocking and jolting of the safari ride at Animal Kingdom lulled him right to sleep!

Becoming Grandpa's pal.
This kid sure loves his Grandpa! He quickly learned that when mommy says no, go find Grandpa!

i just love him. such a precious soul. disney will miss him and so will the scary fairy godmother.
I don't think harnesses are bad at all!! He looks so cute!!
Looks like so much fun! You know that harness seems like a must. Kacey is getting around good now and it is awful to chase her everywhere and they get away so fast. So I would say a good parent would do a harness for the safety of the kiddo...even if it looks a little funny. Seems like everyone goes on vacation but me!
Personally, I don't see anything wrong with the monkey harness. I've considered getting one MANY times, but haven't been desperate enough yet. A trip to Disney would definitely warrant one though...way too easy to get lost or worse! Looks like he enjoyed his quasi-freedom anyway, so everyone wins!
I love the harness. It's perfect for his little busy body too-- and for those who judge, at least you brought your child home with you! I would never attempt Disney without some sort of restraint... when we went, we had the strollers, and they were a lifesaver. Looks like you guys had a great time! And I agree with Becki about the Scary godmother. ;)
A harness would have been very helpful with Kyle. I hear he ran away a lot. Like father like son.
What a cute boy! I have to say I love the monkey harness. We have a puppy dog harness for Jake and I use it almost ever time I take him to a store. He refuses to sit in a shopping cart or stroller. I get some funny looks from people, but it is for Jake’s safety and my sanity!
Thanks to everyone for their support on the baby harness...ahem...EMILY (my little sister), SEE???
Marcia- I totally know what you mean, I plan on taking his harness on mall trips from now on. I sure don't care about the funny looks, at least I'll know where he is at all times!
great view of her panties mom, I would love to pull those off and get between her legs
