Hello Black Beauty.

So it's not really black, just really really dark brown. But "Hello Dark Brown Beauty" didn't sound nearly so eloquent. Shortly after Christmas we purchased our new kitchen table. Just our luck, after borrowing my sister's truck, getting the huge box and all the chair boxes home, spending hours assembling everything together, the table turns out to be a defective one. The leaf was warped, so when you put it all together the table wouldn't close all the way. Instead of a nice flat smooth surface, the table had two nice gaps where the leaf went. We lugged the assembled table back to the store, but had to wait to get a new one until we could borrow my sister's truck again. Today we finally were able to go pick up a new one. We basically were holding our breaths the entire time Kyle was putting it together, but the new table assembled perfectly. We're happy to finally have a pretty table with nice sturdy chairs that Spencer and my preschool kids can happily wriggle and squirm in without fear of collapsing those darn folding chairs!
