Have you ever played Rock Band? It is one of the most fun games ever! Now I am no video game junkie. Seriously. I'm the one who vowed I would never own a gaming system in my home. Finally I made a deal with Kyle that once he got his PhD, he could get one (knowing that would be a LONG time away). My parents have it though, and with my brother in town and Kyle at work late, I figured I'd finally go and see what all the fuss was about. It is seriously one of the most fun games I've ever played! You can play drummer, guitarist, or singer. I tried all three - not the best drummer ever, a pretty good singer, and an awesome guitarist. Too bad it doesn't teach how to really play guitar, 'cause I'd be a pro by now!Janelle was a pretty serious guitarist herself.

And Daniel was by far the best singer. (Even though he's playing drums in this picture.)
And when we got bored of Rock Band (which we never really did), we moseyed on over to the playroom to try out boxing on the Wii. That thing can give you one hard core work out! I was panting and puffing after a boxing match with my dad and then another with my brother.
(Don't laugh too hard!)As I was getting ready to leave Daniel goes, "Wow, I never imagined I'd end up spending the night playing video games with my sister!"
Ha ha! See, I'm not that old and boring yet!
Of course to start the evening out we had to indulge Daniel with a little Cheesecake Factory (poor thing's been in Rexburg since January...the best thing they have there is Applebees - ugh!)

That's hilarious! So who won that match anyway? We debated over getting the Wii or the PS3 for quite a while, and finally decided on the PS3 mostly because it can play Blu-Ray dvds, but I still would love to have a Wii... so much fun! Rock Band is my favorite game right now too. Those drums are HARD though! Looks like a very fun night!

Brianne- Yeah, I would go for the PS3 too for the Blu-Ray. Kyle is adamant that we not buy anymore dvds until we have a blu-ray player.
Oh yeah, and Daniel just BARELY won the boxing match...only because ofter two matches my arms were DEAD!!!
I haven't ever played rock band, but I've heard it's fun. It looks like you all had a good time. Your Dad playing video games reminds me of my Dad.
One thing I do not get, however, is how the Cheesecake Factory is such a beloved place - I would rather eat scrambled eggs at home than go there....weird, I know, but I do not like it.
Are you guys going to St. Johns anytime over the summer?
