A Glimpse into the Future?

...I think so.

Spencer's 2-Year-Old Stats:
Weight: 30 lbs. (75th percentile)
Height: 36 inches (97th percentile)

Yes, you read that right, 97th percentile for height. Spencer is exactly half of Kyle's height right now.

I'm pretty sure I see basketball in his future. And what better place to play than at Kyle's and my alma mater?!?!

Other than the kidney situation and his lack of protein in his diet, he's doing just fine. Obviously his growth is not being affected by either of those two things. He's still as picky an eater as ever. He refuses to touch any kind of meat, peanut butter, cheese, or eggs (unless it's in french toast - which we make a LOT). Fortunately he eats yogurt fine and still drinks a ton of milk. Who would have guessed that we'd have a self proclaimed vegetarian in a family with ranching roots? Spencer also does not like bread. Isn't that weird? What kid doesn't like bread? He does love peas, corn, squash, sweet potatoes and most fruits. So I'm not too worried.

Spencer has been talking a TON the last month. He copies almost everything we say to him and can communicate fairly well with us. Of course that doesn't make the tantrums any less frequent. He's very much a two-year-old. The few weeks after Kyle and I got back from Orlando, every time Spencer got in trouble he'd start throwing his little fits and then ask for "Boppa" (Grandpa). He doesn't do it anymore, guess it's time to go stay with Grandma and Grandpa again!

Spencer LOVES his Grandpas. Whenever he's around either of them he follows them around like a little puppy! It's really cute.

Spencer's favorite things are:
  • his blankie
  • "Cars"
  • ice cream
  • reading books (especially ones about trucks, cars, or trains)
  • swimming...but only if it's a zero entry pool because he does NOT like to be held in the water, he's very independent in the water...which scares me to death! I foresee swimming lessons in the near future.
  • milk
  • "Thomas the Tank" anything (the show, his pillow, the trains, the books)
  • playing outside - especially with his new water table
  • Getting pushed down the street in his tricycle
  • trying to play with "Gigi" who usually plays with him for about 10 minutes and then gets frustrated with him knocking over her stuff
  • cooking
  • going to the park
  • his Lightning McQueen shoes
  • WALL•E shorts (especially the "Bouncing Balls" one)
  • play-doh
  • painting
  • getting whip cream squirted on his finger
  • Tylenol
  • Sunday Nursery
  • pouring water all over the bathroom floor when he takes a bath
  • ice
Things Spencer does NOT like:
  • taking naps
  • having sticky hands
  • waiting...for anything
  • being alone in a room
  • green beans
  • Having anything other than Thomas on when he's in the mood for a little "choo choo"
  • shopping (even for stuff he likes)
  • being dropped off at Sunday Nursery
  • being forced to sit still for longer than 15 minutes (sacrament meeting, airplane rides, movies, etc.)
We're grateful for a happy healthy kid!!!

He's such a handsome boy! I love that first picture. You can almost picture him as at teenager. :)

What a little baller. That outfit is adorable. I detest having sticky hands, too.

love the byu outfit! Brayden has a byu football outfit that he wore for 3 years straight. You are such a good mommy!
P.S. Those corndogs look to-die-for! I've gotta try them!
