The most ironic part of it is that Kyle had recently finished reading Beezus and Ramona to Janelle and in that book 4-year-old Ramona did the exact same thing. She'd found a box full of apples and gone through and taken one bite out of each of them. So what did her mom do? She made applesauce!
I love it when fiction meets reality.

How cute! Sam likes eating apples like that now too. He just keeps biting on one side until he gets to the core.

rylei used to do that too! he'll get over it and one day he'll eat the whole thing and leave the core upstairs for his baby sister to gnaw on 3 days later!!! enjoy the nibble time.
