Janelle's 6th birthday partying started last weekend while Grandma and Grandpa M. were here. They surprised her with the "Barbie and the Diamond Castle" glimmery pink flying horse which she LOVES. She won't let that thing out of her sight except for when she's at school. And even then I have strict instructions to take care of her including feeding, rocking, and putting her down for naps. Thank you Grandma and Grandpa!
The partying continued this weekend where we had a family party with Grandma and Grandpa P., Uncle Daniel, Aunt Rachel, Aunt Emily, and cousins Celeste and Mark. Janelle wanted a Hannah Montana cake and was adamant it have a microphone on it. I think I followed her instructions pretty well.
The birthday princesses. Cousin Celeste's actual birthday was yesterday (the 5th). She was nice enough to share her party with Janelle!
A birthday hug for Uncle Daniel. He gave Janelle a very girly Barbie and My Little Pony. I would have LOVED to have seen him buying those. Thanks Unkie Dan!

Here's a shot of Spencer's black eye. We had his little friend Hayden over yesterday (and NO, Hayden did not give it to him!) and Spencer was running with this toy bus that we have and somehow it landed in his eye. I didn't see it happen, I just heard the screams. Poor kid! This picture doesn't even do it justice. I'll have to see if I can get a better picture. So much for cute family pictures this year.
Okay, back to the overly excited birthday princess.

We wish we could have participated in the continuing Birthday saga! Miss you guys already. Laura, you may want to note that once upon a time there was a little boy who always orchestrated the special events in his life, including designing his birthday cakes, where people should sit, and what special events needed to be noted. Can you guess who that little boy might be?
What a cute birthday cake I love it, and that dress up stuff looks so cute on her. Poor Spencer Cody had the same thing just happen to him, dang boys
