Over the last month, my house hasn't exactly been the cleanest it's ever been...but I don't care. I got some fun little crafts done instead!
Within the last 4 months a LOT of my friends have had, or are about to have babies. So I decided to give my sewing machine another go and came up with these hooded towels as baby gifts. I think they turned out pretty cute! And I totally made them all by myself, a HUGE feat for the sewing-impaired. :)

This is my new bookshelf...not exactly a craft, but I think it was fun putting the books on it!
About a week ago, I came across a blog called Little Birdie Secrets. It had the cutest Valentine treat ideas! I absolutely loved the idea for chocolate dipped marshmallows, and made 20 of them for Janelle's Valentine's party at school today.
Finally, my friend, Emily invited me over this week for a little craft class. She runs an online store called Piccadilly Peddlers that sells the cutest vinyl lettering crafts. She supplied the materials and showed us how to make these sweet Valentine's blocks.

Cute! I especially love the Valentine blocks. Sign me up for those classes.
Cute blocks. I've got to finish my pay-it-forward project. I'm a slacker. When I see others finishing their projects I get inspired to get my rear in gear.
Cute blocks! The marshmallows look so yummy. I might have to make some. :) Have a great weekend and a Happy Valentines Day!
I love all your crafts! Ayden got a towel like that when she was born and it is still my favorite kid towel. I think it is such a great baby gift and that one is really cute.
so fun! i have those blocks too!!
If I could get semi-unpacked, I would like to learn to be more crafty! I was just learning how to sew when we packed the machine up....dangit!
super great job on the towels. I love crafting and was jealous because I have had to put off crafting for ever! I even have the most ridiculous craft room filled with crap that has been neglected, maybe I'll neglect something else this week and craft thanks to you!~ Keep having fun with it!
Love the hooded towel. Do you think you could sew 2 giant towels together to make one for me? ;o)
Sarah...Hmmm...interesting...adult hooded towels...I'll have to look into that. :)
LOVE the bookshelf! I have been looking for one. Where did you find it?
Ally- we got it at IKEA.
Thanks so much for the towels. They are beautiful and to know that you made them even makes it more special. Thanks for thinking of us.
