A couple of weeks ago, our ward had a playgroup trip to the firestation. Knowing this sort of function was right up Spencer's alley, I knew it could not be missed! So we trudged through the never ending rain and met our friends for the tour. As expected Spencer LOVED it. I can't even describe in words the level of pure joy he had staring at the fire truck!
Unfortunately I took my little camera that had like 30 seconds left on it's battery, and all the settings on it were totally messed up. So my pictures turned out terribly. Oh well. The picture of Spencer's happy little face in my head is crystal clear!
I also couldn't get him to look at me for ANY of the pictures! He was much too distracted!

This is the one part Spencer was a little leery...he was fine until the fireman put his mask on. I asked him if he wanted to stand next to him so I could take his picture, I think this picture says it all...
No way!!!The three stooges...I mean, firemen wannabes.
This was Spencer's favorite part...actually getting to sit on the firetruck.
The rest of the day all Spencer could talk about was the fire truck he saw.
I think we're going to have to do that again!

How fun! Spencer and Austin would really get along great. Austin loves fire trucks.
I have always loved firetrucks. I guess it is a secret passion because I doubt that I ever told anyone about that. Kyle knows I have a toy firetruck that I have had since I was about 5 but that is probably all he knows. Anyway, I share Spencer's enthusiasm and we will have to visit the PC Fire Department next time you are here!

That looks like such great fun! We are going to be doing that in a couple weeks. I have to say Spencer's hat is ABSOLUTELY DARLING!! Where did you ever find such a cute hat!?
That's really cute. Sometimes I forget how fascinating the seemingly-mundane things are to children.
