Happy, Healthy & Hot!

I reached the magical week of 15 in my pregnancy and what do you know, I'm well again!!! (*Knock on wood!) If it took that nasty round of the stomach flu to get me here, fine. It was well worth it. I can't even describe to you how happy I am to 1. Not feel like I am going to throw up every second of the day, 2. Have the energy (and patience) necessary to take care of my kids, and 3. Have motivation back in my life. The last two day have been so blissful!

Yesterday I even mowed our yard...which, if you know me, is SO not my thing. And today I exercised for the first time in....hmmm....not sure when. I walked about 2.5 miles and then swam for 45 minutes. It felt so good!

I'm not sure I've ever been so grateful to be back to my normal healthy self! Now that the worst of it is over, I've realized that this pregnancy has definitely had a few perks in the food department. With Janelle and Spencer I craved Mexican food like you wouldn't believe. I was sure that was going to happen again and just rack up the pounds, but I was wrong. While I'll definitely eat Mexican food, the foods I have been craving the most are fresh fruits and vegetables. It's great! Seriously I could munch on fresh strawberries, apples, tomatoes, cucumbers & peppers all day long. I haven't even gained a pound this month yet. Yea! The only food (as previously mentioned) I've had a major aversion to is anything with tomato/marinara sauce on it especially pizza and spaghetti. I can't even smell tomato sauce without feeling sick, but fresh tomatoes are fine.

Anyway, thank you to all my sweet friends and family for your nice comments, phone calls, and help you've given me over the last three months. While they were indeed horrible to say the least, now that they are over I am much more excited about baby #3.

And here's some proof that yes, I am actually off the couch...
...instead of plopping the kids in front of the tv after school like they've been doing the last few months (okay, not EVERY day), I sent them outside to play in the sprinkler. It was so hot (a whopping 90 degrees....in APRIL) when I picked Janelle up from school. I'd originally planned on letting them play at the park for a little while, but after 10 hot minutes both of their cheeks were bright red and I was dying. So we went home and I made them some cold lemonade, set the sprinkler up and even took pictures of them. Unfortunately I'm a little rusty with my camera and didn't check all the manual settings so they turned out kind of grainy. But oh well...
My dirty little boy...this is pretty much how he is all day long. Boogers and dirt on the face. :)

So impressed that you mowed.

I had to LOL that you are revolted by tomatoes. I was that same way with Amber. Tomatoes and even just the odor sent me over the edge! But what is Amber's favorite thing in this world? Tomatoes! Go figure.

So glad you're feeling better!

I'm so glad you are feeling better! It's so hard to take care of kids when you feel sick, tired, and unmotivated.

Laura, I am so glad you are feeling better. It is awful to be that sick. Amanda just got better too. It must be that magical 15th week. That is when I start feeling better too.
Enjoy your health!
