I saw this idea on someone's blog a long time ago and after dealing with a bulging crayon container for the millionth time today, decided to look it up. It was easy and fun!
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
2. Collect broken crayons, unwrap, break into small pieces and place in muffin tin.
(Most of the sites I read just combined one of each color, so it ended up being one big rainbow crayon, but I had a gazillion crayons to work with, so I decided to sort them into colors.)

I saw those on several blogs recently. It looked fun but too much work for me. How lazy am I?
I've seen this many times but for some reason it looks more exciting on your blog! My girls would love it... for a day, just like everything else. But they look great! I love that you kept colors together. Maybe I'll do this some time. We have plenty of crayons!
How fun! Too bad I just threw away all of our old crayons. Actually, I did start to take off the wrappers, thinking I might do something like this, but they were really stuck on, and it would have taken forever. I'll have to remember this next time we have too many broken crayons.
Yeah, I have to admit, the unwrapping was not that fun. But once I got them all done the rest of it was SO easy.
Great idea. Reminds me of those big, chunky crayons.
What a great idea. We have tons of broken crayons. (Austin thinks it is fun to brake things.) I should try this sometime.
How are you feeling Laura? I hope you are surviving. :) I can't wait to hear what you are having.
Hey Laura, I think I could handle that with the grandkids. We've had a few around here lately. Hope you're all doing well.
I hadn't been on your blog for a while, so hearing your description of pregnancy brought it all back. You've got my sympathy. That flu sounded nasty. Hope you'll soon get to those middle months---I honestly felt extra-good than. Have a bon bon and watch a movie.
Love you.
What a great idea! I'll have to try it some time.
I know people who make these for gifts, and even for gift bags at their kids parties... Just pair it with an uber-cool coloring book, and viola! chic, green (earth friendly) too cool for school presents!
