Rachel's Grad Pics

My sister wanted some graduation pictures done to go with her announcement (she graduates this month, woohoo!), so we went out and did a shoot. Other than having to deal with a little wind and and an unruly camera (okay...it was probably the photographer who needs to spend a little more time with the manual and go take a class or two), we got some cute ones!

Good job, La! Those are great shots. Lots of personality. My fav's #3 from the front porch.

Don't you hate unruly cameras? I had a similar experience when I took my sister's family pics. It was going to be my first time shooting fully in manual for a "real" shoot. I was nervous but excited and when I got there everytime I took a shot it was completely dark despite the fact that it showed that it was correctly exposed in my meter. I panicked, my heart was racing. I ended up putting the camera in auto b/c I had enough light that the flash wouldn't fire. But I was so disappointed. I was SO sure my camera was broken. I had JUST been using it fine earlier that day. Anyway, long story short after a few hours of panicking once I calmed down the problem was a simple fix. I just needed to slow down and THINK. That has been in someway or another my lesson in EVER shoot. Maybe someday I'll learn my lesson.

Fun pics by the way.
