Spencer loves...I mean, LOVES to cook. At his preschool, one of the days of the week is designated "Baking Day" where they all cook something and then get to bring it home. Last week the color of the week was orange and they made orange cupcakes. His preschool teacher told me that Spencer was the only one who stuck with her the entire time. All the other kids lost interest after awhile, but Spencer stayed right by her side the entire time! That's my little chef!
This morning, we didn't have anything planned and Spencer desperately needed some Mommy-time, so I had him flip through this kid cookbook that I have and had him pick a recipe he wanted to make. He picked chocolate truffles, so we went at it!

Yummy!
If you're interested here's the recipe:
Chocolate Cheesecake Truffle Pops
4 oz. Cream Cheese (I used low fat)
1/4 cup powdered sugar
1/4 cup cocoa
1-2 teaspoons milk
Sprinkles
Chopped Nuts
Combine cream cheese, sugar, cocoa and milk until well mixed. Shape into balls and roll in sprinkles or nuts. Stick in lollipop sticks if desired and refrigerate until set.

Of course he's a little chef, he sees the amazing stuff his dad cooks!! He's so cute. I love his blue eyes.
Oh I love it! He's so cute! that sounds just like Hannah! She would stay by my side and cook all day!
Spence, I wish you lived closer. Ezra would love to play "cooker" with you. It's his favorite thing! He is even getting a play kitchen for Christmas. I think we've watched too much Ratatouille because when we bake something together Ezra always wants to be the "sous chef." Looks like fun!
Very cute. Dean loves helping me cook too. We played "cooking waffles" for about a half an hour the other day. We just PRETENDED that we scooped flour, cracked eggs, mixed it up, etc. and he was happy. It's even better when he gets to help for real. I'll have to try this one.
