Annelyse is such a joy to have around, we love her to pieces! She has brought an incredibly sweet spirit into our home, I love it! We're quickly getting acquainted with our little princess and figuring out her likes and dislikes. For example:
- She LOVES white noise. She sleeps in our bathroom with the fan on most of the time.
- She has a major rooting reflex, but hates binkies. Occasionally she will give in and suck on one, but only on rare occasions.
- She really likes being swaddled when she's tired, but during awake time she prefers being able to stretch. An hour after she was born, she was in the nursery on one of the warming beds arms and legs totally sprawled while all the other babies were curled up into little balls.
- We totally lucked out that her umbilical cord fell off 4 days after she was born because she loves, loves, loves bath time! Janelle's didn't fall off for weeks, it was such a pain doing sponge baths that long.
- Fussy time is from about 9-11:00pm...sometimes later...sometimes a LOT later. She is definitely not on a schedule yet. Some nights she thinks she has to eat every 2 hours, but then last night she went a 5 hour stretch only waking up once at 4:30am. I'm not getting my hopes up.

Kyle had a cute idea to make Ally a birthday cake with the kids when we got home from the hospital. They loved it!
My in-laws sent us a fun fruit arrangement and this balloon a couple of days after we got home from the hospital. Spencer carried the balloon around all day long and insisted on holding it while holding Ally so he could "show it to her."

Spencer LOVES to push Annelyse in her swing. He has good intentions, but I really have to watch him! I've probably said, "GENTLY!!!" about 500 times to him!

Disco dancing in her sleep!
I took her to her 2-week appointment on Monday and she was 10 lbs. 7 oz. and 21 inches long...95th percentile...just like the other two!

She is darling. Being in mommy protective mode all the time is one of the hardest parts about having older siblings!
What a doll! Janelle and Spencer look like they just adore her. Big brothers have a hard time with the gentle thing, but she'll grow up to be a tough girl. Hooray for a 5 hour stretch of sleep! Hope there are many more nights like that in your future!
